Changsha 1: Orange Island Park 橘子洲

Orange Island Park is a long and narrow island in the Xiang River, which is known as the Oriental Rhine River. It is the world’s longest inland river island. It connects the Yuelu Mountain in the west with the downtown in the east, with a N-S length of 5km, a E-W width of 50-200m. In Chairman Mao’s youth, he spent a lot of time walking on the beach, swimming and sunbathing.  The highlight of the head of the Orange Island is the Statue of Chairman Mao.



Changsha 2: Yuelu Academy 岳麓书院
  

Yuelu Academy is one of the oldest schools in the world. It was established in 976 A.D. during the time of the Northern Song Dynasty and is one of the four famous academies in China. The academy accepted disciples throughout the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 1903, the academy was transformed from a school of tradition Confucian learning to an institute for higher learning and in 1926 it was officially named as Hunan University.



• Changsha 3: Yuelu Mountain 岳麓山

Yuelu Mountain lies on the west bank of Xiang River. It is composed of natural scenery and landscape. The natural scenery is strange, quiet and beautiful. The landscape shows several thousand kinds of plants, among which there are a lot of famous and rare plants. There are a lot of scenic spots in Yuelu Mountain such as Qingfeng gorge, Aiwan Pavilion, Lushan Temple, Yunlu Palace, White Crane Spring and Flying Stone.



•  Changsha 4: Binjiang cultural park 滨江文化园

Binjiang cultural park is located in the Xinhe delta of changsha, with Xiang River in the west, Liuyang River in the north and Orange Island Park in the southeast. The park consists of three buildings and one hall (changsha museum, changsha planning exhibition hall, changsha library, changsha concert hall), landscape tower and surrounding facilities. Binjiang cultural park is a symbol of the collective style of Hunan people to march forward, face difficulties head-on and constantly strive for self-improvement.



• Changsha 5: Hunan Museum 湖南省博物馆

Hunan Museum is the largest museum of history and art in Hunan Province. Since its establishment, Hunan Museum has taken the responsibility of protecting and inheriting excellent history and culture, collecting, researching, displaying, educating and serving cultural relics. Over the years, as a cultural landmark of Changsha City, she has attracted thousands of tourists to visit it. It is a national key Museum representing the civilization of the Chinese region. It is also an important window for people to understand the process of Huxiang civilization and appreciate the mystery of Huxiang culture.



• Changsha 6: Moon Island 月亮岛

Moon Island is located in the West Bank of Xiang River. It is named for its wide south and narrow north, just like a bright moon floating in the River.



• Changsha 7: Taiping Street (Changsha) 长沙太平街

Taiping Street is the most complete street in the old city of Changsha. Taiping Street, a long and wide old street, bears the important task of displaying the charm of Huxiang culture and reflecting the traditional commercial folk customs. Walking along the ancient street, besides the classical visual impact brought by the symbols of stone archways, stone roads, firewalls and ancient theatres, we can not only intuitively feel the classical visual impact of these symbols, but also appreciate the literary flavor and charm emanating from a historical accumulation.



• Changsha 8: Tongguan Kiln National Archaeological Site Park —— Ceramic Pearls of the Marine Silk Road (Changsha) 铜官窑国家考古遗址公园

Changsha Tongguan Kiln is the world's most complete and clear-cut production site of Tang Dynasty porcelain. It is also the birthplace of the world's color porcelain. It has a history of more than 1000 years. It is called the world factory thousands of years ago by archaeologists.



Hunan 1: Zhangjiajie Scenic Area 张家界风景区

The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a unique national forest located in northwest Hunan Province, 320 km away from Changsha. In 1988 it was recognized as China’s first National Forest Park. In 1992 it was officially recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Its unique geographical features make it a popular tourist destination for both Chinese citizens and foreigners.




Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon scenic area in one of the important attractions. As the highlight of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is the highest and longest glass-bottomed bridge in the world. It stretches 430 meters long and 6 meters wide, hovering over a 300-meter vertical drop. Designed by Israeli Haim Dotan Architects, the bridge is capable of holding 800 persons at a time. Standing on it is like floating in the air and it provides a superb panorama of the entire Grand Canyon. It is a super runway for fashion shows as well. At the middle of the bridge, tourists can achieve the dream of flying like the Spider Man from the world highest Bungee Jump point.



Hunan 2: Meishan Palace 梅山龙宫

Meishan Longgong Palace is located in Zishui River, Xinhua County, Loudi City, Hunan Province. It is a large group of karst caves with nine layers. Its proven length is more than 2870 meters. It has developed a sightseeing route of 1896 meters, including a mysterious underground river with a length of 466 meters, which is rare in the world.



Hunan 3: Hometown of Chairman Mao Zedong 毛主席故居

As well known, Chairman Mao is one of the great famous leaders in the world. He is extremely admired by Chinese people and as well as the world people. The hometown of Mao lies in a deep narrow valley with steep side, in the Southwest of Changsha. On December 26th 1893, Chairman Mao was born here and spent his childhood and youth.



Hunan 4: Heng Mountain 南岳衡山

Mount Heng (Mount Heng), also known as nanyue, shouyue, nanshan, is a famous Taoist and buddhist holy land in China, is one of China's "five yue". Because the climate conditions are better than the other four mountains, everywhere is thick forest, strange flowers and plants, natural scenery is very beautiful, so Nanyue has the reputation of unique beauty.



Hunan 6: Dong Jiang Lake 东江湖

Dongjiang Lake is a lake enclosed by the south of Nanling and Luoxiao Mountains. The scenic spot is a tourist attraction with forests, lakes and mountains, and rich human tourism resources.
